2. I wanted three children but let's just say the third came a bit sooner
than we had scheduled!

However, it's all good...I did learn something about the reliability of certain contraception methods, though!

4. my pattern matches yours somewhat...
first...wanted but showed up about 2 years early...oops.
second...planned and even had a failure in there...
third...we were still trying to decide between two and three and the decision sort of got made for us...

wouldn't trade a second of the time through the whole lot of them...

6. i was planned...
and currently have zero desire to have children. i might actually deck the next family member to ask me when i'm having kids. why the fuck would i want to bring kids into a world as messed up as this?
also, i'm currently woefully in debt to the government for my seemingly endless education. i can barely take care of myself, let along young'uns.

OOPS! (25)

OH-OH!(23)

OH MY GOD!!(12)

All are great healthy kids, and all seem to have my somewhat warped sense of humor.

15. There are too many people on planet Earth.
I have no children, and I got a vasectomy. I know I would make a horrible father because I have trouble even taking care of myself. Besides, I think having children when there are so many up for adoption is selfish. If for some strange reason I ever wanted a child, I would adopt. I don't think that will ever happen, because my girlfriend wants a kids even less than I do.

17. I was adopted too
so I was planned. At least by my adoptive parents. By my biologicals... doubt it.

I am currently having a baby. Definitely planned. We've been trying for a long time, and this pregnancy is a happy blessing.

19. I'm happy for you.
Hope the baby is fat and healthy.

Me, I'm not real good at taking care of myself....so the thought of taking care of another person is daunting to me.

20. It's daunting to me, as well
One of those funny consequences of being responsible for the health and welfare of another human.

But I realize parenthood isn't for everyone, and I respect those who choose not to have children because they know it isn't for them. It's wonderful to know yourself so clearly. There are many who will marry or who will have children simply because it is what is expected from them from society. It takes a lot of guts to go against the grain. :)

21. I really planned my kid
I had to since she is adopted. There's something about doing all that paperwork. Now my step-grandchild was totally unplanned. As a matter of fact about 8 months before his conception his mother was told by her OB-GYN that there was no chance that she would ever be able to get pregnant without significant medical intervening. Ooops.
