One more thing about public employees taking it in the neck in the media...
Why doesn't AFSCME, or AFT or whoever do a commercial and run it every night regarding government employees that work hard every day and who are totally taken for granted and now being attacked every day in print, radio and tv regarding their salary and benefits?

Postal workers out there in all kinds of weather, the highway workers clearing up toxic spills on the highway or doing dangerous repair work, inner city teachers, all manner of inspectors who keep buildings safe, cubicle workers who process claims, accountants who work with budgets, unemployment office workers, scientists who do vital research among others. I'm not so much referring to "first responders" or the military (who the media doesn't go after) but the many faceless civil servants who go to work every day, do an important job and would like to retire after working 30 plus years and have a little security in their old age.
