It's hard to say as they are all important but I lean toward the oil spill. The ecological, biological and financial repurcussions as well as the emotional impact on people living there are all going to be huge.

14. I agree. There are a lot of stupid, annoying stories that I just

want to ignore.

I started this thread because, in this election year, I would like to do more than just complain, and find more to read than complaints on DU.

I come to DU because I find stories here that are not getting much attention in the MSM.

I also find details about stories that are not included in articles in the MSM.

I really appreciate all those who focus their posts on the stories that are important to them and those who try to include interesting information that is not generally published elsewhere. Thanks to all those who contribute to help other DUers become better informed.
