The GOP candidates and the radical right
While it's still early (as we all know) in the campaign, I have to wonder simply by actions and words already spoken which one of the potential GOP candidates has the lock on the most extreme right wing talking points.

People have said that Guiliani is the most moderate of the bunch, but frankly, they're all looneytoons in my estimation. Who is the likely candidate for the whacko religious right? Will they choose someone who believes he's the next coming of Jesus? Or will they choose an "outsider" like Romney who is Mormon? Or do they simply hope that Booosh is going to blow us to kingdom come just in time for the Rapture, Apocalypse and the Second Coming?

As for the non-religious radical right, is there a candidate that they could agree on? Or are they going to be hopelessly confused by the double-talk and empty promises of a slick politician?

Will moderates (whose brains haven't been completely cooked yet) find someone who will fill their needs in the Oval office? Or will enough of them be shamed by their current idiot in chief to perhaps cross the aisle and make a sensible choice for a change?

While we need to deal with our own candidates, we also have the presence of mind to know that all of our candidates have their own individual brains, and that they haven't been absorbed by the Borg yet. We also know that our own guys have a lot more going on in general than the sad list that currently comprises the right wing lot of potential nominees.

1. They simply hope "Boosh will blow us to kingdom come
just in time for the Rapture, Apocalypse, and the second
coming". If they had their druthers, there are some
who would prefer this.

On a more serious note at around Midnight here in EDT, C-Span
is carrying (what has been promoted at some sights as Thompsons
"Most Important Speech" ) in Orange County, Calif. These are
the Republican Party types who "made Ronald Regan."

It is my understanding that He gives this speech and gets
into the race in July officially.

Among the 10 we saw last night, I would say McCain, Guilliani
or Romney could work for the other Republicans.(other than
fundies). Remember , when Scwarzenegger was put into office
initially, ---The Govenator had enough "Baggage" Sexual and
otherwise, to sink a ship. Dobson and Shelton(California's
Dobson) saluted the party and brought the troops out to vote.

Winning is everything.
Some hope Thompson can save them.
