I may have prayed that I would survive the Bush years; but I never prayed for that man's - or anyone else's - death.

2. I'm one of about 11 people in this country who has never visited facebook.

In fact, I really don't know much about it, although my wife is constantly explaining parts of it to me. I will gladly K & R your post, though, because this is one of the most despicable things I've ever heard of. It's not like I'm much of an Obama fan these days, but to pray for his death goes against every tenet of Christianity. If one were praying in the first place, I would think he or she would know that.

I saw several comments on the group site that were direct threats to the President's life. Another friend e-mailed me that she reported one such comment to the Secret Service. The comment basically said to murder FLOTUS and the kids too. Sick.

I agree that the "joke" is not a direct threat to POTUS. A few of the comments inspired by the "joke" are direct threats.

They removed all the wall postings from the page because there were open calls for the death of the POTUS.

Those on DU who have wished for the death of anyone have been roundly rebuked if noticed. Advocating for the death of any politician on this site has never been tolerated.

Yes, they were threatening him. That's a fact.

the uproar the right made because people weren't lining up to kiss rush's a** when he was supposed to have had a heart attack, or a real attack against the president of this country. I think when something like that comes up, any body adding their name should be investigated and taken care of.
