Another example of the government not being able to do anything right...
I just got back from the post office where I mailed a "care package" to my daughter, who's in college. I live in NW Ohio, she's in SE OHIO. I asked the clerk if it will go out yet today. She said yes, she'll probably get it tomorrow. How freaking awful is that? Why doesn't she have it already?:hide:

1. It could have been there today, but they're too busy planning on how to take everyone's guns

2. I feel the same way when I go to that horrible VA where I get awful medical care...
They're always so polite, helpful, and take such freaking great care of me. Damn government. :smoke:

3. It's so rife with waste too!
Every VA clinic, outpatient facility or hospital I've seen has a coffee urn on every floor. Imagine! Free coffee for vets?!? What could they be thinking? No wonder our government is in debt!

4. It's probably because the package went ground since it was so close.
During the holiday season I had a package that came from over 2000 miles away and it arrived the next day with standard shipping. I couldn't believe it.

The following week I had a package that came from 150 miles away and it took four days.

Both packages were shipped by US Mail standard shipping.

5. Imagine how much more efficient they would be with the incentive to give their bosses salary bonuses

6. Clearly, government run programs are made of fail.
I mean really! Do they not get that I'm out of shampoo and drawing paper? That's pretty much the end of the world right there! Well, it is for anyone who has to sit in class with me, anyhow. ;)

...Hi, Mom! Thanks for the package! <3 I hope it includes moar noms.

7. Yeah, I've had that experience too.
Damned wasteful government post office wanted like $28 to mail and insure for $500 a package that would (and did)get to a friend a state away in about 3 days. The Invisible Hand of the Free Market allowed a private company that we'll call SPU to ask me to pay three times that for the same package with a guaranteeish that it would maybe get there in about a week. And if they damaged it I would be SOL. (And half the stuff I've gotten that was shipped by them was damaged.)
