Boxer: Dems need to match Tea Party energy as midterm elections near
http://thehill.com/blogs/ballot-box/senate-races/92831-boxer-dems-need-to-match-tea-party-energy

Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.) warned that Democrats must match the Tea Party's energy and enthusiasm or face the consequences in November.

"At this point, I think the polls are showing that there is more enthusiasm with the tea party party," Boxer said before taking the stage at the California Democratic Party's convention in Los Angeles Saturday. "I think it is absolutely a fact that we have to match that enthusiasm."

According to the Sacramento Bee she added, "I'm just going to do what I've always done."

"Some people take those words, and it might move them to do things that are dangerous to society," Boxer said. "I'm just going to do what I've always done. ... I'm not afraid of this fearmongering."

2. Well, thats up to you Dems in Congress and the WH
Stop being corporate stooges and act like you actually care for those with less than seven figure incomes and I bet enthusiasm wouldnt be a problem.

3. The Media have been telling us for months almost a year it seems
that the Intensity (Enthusiasm) is on the right. We
have watched the Polls go up for GOP and now the Dem.Party
is polling the lowest since polling began.

Some Pundits have been brave enough to ask--Where is the Left?

History shows that the Intensity wins.

Boxer is correct or the Righties will be in charge for years to
come.

4. Give me something to cheer for and maybe I will
But crappy half ass health insurance reform won't do it.

Maybe if you pass Blanche Lincolns finance reform package I'll think about it. I expect no less than a spinoff of derivative houses.

5. Nominate a real Liberal for the SCOTUS
and watch us get excited.
The fright wing has used the appointment issue time and time again to rally voters.
They ended up controlling most of the last 50 years and now have a majority on the Court.
We need to find the same enthusiasm and it needs to come from our leaders!

6. A little hard to work up enthusiasm for Third Way policies
I agree with her the energy needs to be matched. But the left, with whom this kind of energy generally resides, has been silenced by the party loyalists. I've said for months we need to start hearing some proposals for populist policies like job creation and workers' rights out of our leaders or the energy from the left just won't be there. I think we still have a decent chance of holding the majority but it's going to be a squeaker if they don't start showing some concern for the average people out here.

How excited am I supposed to be when the Fed has channeled $4.6 trillion to Wall Street and the President stands up at the jobs' summit and says we have limited resources for this?
