Go Ahead, Laugh At The Teabaggers. But Realize: They're Smarter Than Us

Ever since 1980, the bottom 99% of the economic ladder have been brutalized by the Predator Class - 30 years and counting of rapacious far-right governments purchased cheaply.

The Teabaggers have at least realized that they've been screwed and are still getting screwed, and they're angry as hell. They see the continuation of economic royalism, and they're mad. Here at DU, most of us can't seem to decide if we're getting screwed or Obama's playing 14-dimensional chess. So we sit on our hands and watch Olbermann and Maddow, and life goes on.

The problem with the teabaggers is that they - like most Americans - don't know what really happened. They listen to the chorus of bullshit they hear through the bought-off media and government - Limbaugh, Hannity, Beck, Reagan, Bush, Clinton, Obama, etc, telling them that the problem is immigrants and commies and welfare queens and big gummint and all manner of nonsense - and that if we just give more stuff to the "shrewd businessmen", it will help the rest of us.

They may not be smart enough to realize who screwed them, but they have finally figured out that they're being screwed, and they're pissed. Nobody represents them in the halls of power, and they know it, and they're on an aimless rampage. At some point the rampage will have some aim, and will accrete more angry people, and then things will get ugly. Real ugly.

As Dr. Dean said "We all voted for change we can believe in. If we don't get it, we'll get some more change". I'm not sure we're going to like this change.

The teaparties are blaming the traditional "boogie men" that the right wing elite activists/propagandists contrived as a means to divide the working class.
