I have a great idea for a new book for someone who wants to write it: "Prom Politics"

I'm too busy to write a book, but I think it would make a fine idea for someone to write a book about Prom politics in the United States. Every year there seems to be some type of controversy somewhere about the prom. This year it was Contance McMillien and the "fake prom", which was a consequence of her school having canceled her official prom rather than allow her to wear a tux and go with her girlfriend. Back in 1993, a school principal in Alabama threatened to cancel the prom if there was interracial dating.

Anyhow, I think someone could compile a great book of stories about prom controversies through the years. Maybe one story per chapter.

Like I said, I don't have time to write it, but all you aspiring authors out there are free to run with the idea.

the police killings in WA state in 2009.

it was very bizarre, and there are a lot of interesting stories behind both the killers and the cops.
