Beck admits he could care less about politics...
Goddamn it this guy knows his audience, and knows they are too dumb to read. Here are a few quotes from this interview:

With a deadpan, Beck insists that he is not political: "I could give a flying crap about the political process." Making money, on the other hand, is to be taken very seriously, and controversy is its own coinage. "We're an entertainment company,"

"I think I say the things that people are afraid to say--and sometimes the things people are too smart to say," Beck laughs. Even to his occasional regret. "I would take back the things that I say right from the hip, without thinking," he says, without getting specific.

I heard about this interview from Thom Hartmann and Thom mentioned another quote that I could not find in the article. I did however find it on Think Progress:

“I say on the air all time, ‘if you take what I say as gospel, you’re an idiot.’“

So he admits he's a liar, he calls his audience idiots, and admits he's only in it for the money.

And tonight they will worship at his alter again. Fools. Really how much of a fucking moran do you have to be to be told you are an idiot for listening to him by the guy you base all your political ideology on? Gee I'd say.. yeah a pretty big idiot.

2. Of course he's in it for the money!
He'll say anything, ANYTHING to pull in the audience and rake in the bucks. Maybe most wouldn't do it his way, but many an entertainer would do what they need to do for ratings and money. The fact that he's playing with (gun) fire, makes Beck a dangerous and reckless man. But he isn't rewarded for being careful and reasoned. The more he incites, the more people watch. The idiot trained seals who take him literally are the problem. There have always been Glenn Becks out there to take advantage of the stupid and gullible. And they fall for it every time.

4. "Lonesome Rhodes" in true life
If Bleech has never watched "A Face in the Crowd" he damn well should so he can see his future.

5. Yesterday he actually appealed for national unity!
Quoted Lincoln, "United we stand, divided we fall." He is one of the most divisive figures in America today, but he seems, like the character in "Memento," to have no memory of his past . . .

the guy spews so much bullshit in a 5 minute period it's hard to keep up. By the time you've reputed the first lie he's unleashed 20 others, and he doesn't stop, until you are buried in a train wreck of insane bullshit. I can't even watch the guy.

6. spoken like a tried and true repuke.
Doesn't care about the people, doesn't care about the nation, doesn't care about our political process, just as long as he gets what he wants aka money, that's all that matters to him.

That should be written into the republican core princples...if it already isn't.
