No Cussing Club founder tells Biden to button it

SOUTH PASADENA — The teenager who persuaded the California Assembly to approve a No Cussing resolution earlier this month has a message for Vice President Joe Biden: Watch your mouth.

South Pasadena High School student McKay Hatch has called a news conference for 3 p.m. today in front of his city's post office. He says he plans to ask the vice president to apologize for letting a profanity slip during a bill-signing ceremony earlier this week.

Afterward, Hatch, 17, plans to mail Biden one of his No Cussing Club's penalty jars and an official club T-shirt.

Hatch founded the No Cussing Club at his junior high school in 2007. Since then he says it has grown to include chapters in all 50 states and 20 countries.

The kid can do what he wants, but he can't force his "wants" upon others. It's his right to insulate himself against potty mouths, but potty mouths have rights too.

Biden was right, IMHO, this is a huge fucking deal! And we have more fucking huge deals breaking in the news today. A 17-year-old kid hasn't had the life experience to "get" how seriously fucking huge this is.

I can't seem to find another word that expresses my sincere feelings as well as the word VP Biden has used.

I think cuss words have real power when they are rarely used but Biden chose the perfect word to describe what they had accomplished.

I can't think of a better word he could have chosen to communicate the powerful emotion of the moment.

To me that's the whole point of swear words.
