Teeth and gums have everything to do with your health and their care should be covered. We need to start the push for full dental care.

I was born with Amelogenesis imperfecta. I didn't ask for it. It was inherited from my mother. The enamel on my teeth is so thin that the dentin shows through. My entire life I've been teased for the condition and look of my teeth. It really had some horrible effects on my life, causing me to be a shy, withdrawn child who never talked to other people and never smiled. I tried to make my teeth whiter by brushing up to 8 times a day and all I managed to do was to wear the enamel off my teeth, giving me cavities. And cavities I got. No amount of brushing helps. I eventually ended up getting the upper front teeth capped because my teeth were so chaulk-like that they broke. I couldn't afford that money ($5000 for 4 caps), but I was forced to pay it, anyway.

During the time when I was extremely poor, I had to have 5 teeth pulled because Medicaid only paid for extractions on adults, not fillings or preventive care.

My entire life, I have been unable to smile without covering my mouth, been unable to interact with others with any sort of confidence because of the dumbass, hurtful attitude you've displayed.

This HCR bill doesn't cover dental, so all I see this as is a post mocking those of us who have suffered so long with that very attitude. Way to go... dumbass.
