Blanche Lincoln: "I Don't Answer To My Party"
We really need to get rid of this republican,

Lincoln's First Ad Touts Opposition To Public Option, Cap And Trade

“Lt. Gov. Bill Halter's entrance into the Arkansas Senate Democratic primary this week was expected to push conservative incumbent Blanche Lincoln to the left, for fear of losing the base.

But in her first television advertisement of the campaign, Lincoln isn't exactly chasing after the progressive vote. Instead, she touts her opposition to the public insurance option and her refusal to support cap and trade legislation -- and even declares herself proudly independent of the Democratic Party.

In a spot that seems more appropriate for the general election than for a contested primary, Lincoln works to casts herself above the petty infighting of Washington politics -- which the ad depicts as a scene from "Romper Room."

"This is why I voted against giving more money to Wall Street, against the auto company bailout, against the public option health care plan, and against the cap and trade bill that would have increased energy costs for Arkansans," Lincoln says to the camera. "None of those were right for Arkansas. Some in my party didn't like it very much. But I approve this message because I don't answer to my party. I answer to Arkansas."

3. How arrogant!
I hope the voters send her home. She certainly doesn't need your vote. She should be a Republican.

4. What is it about the Democratic Party that its candidates think they have to run from it at election

5. Republicans are owned by their party.
Democrats can ignore their party with little or no repercussions.

Time to kick this DINO to the curb.

Bet she listens to the Walton clan.

6. She's "Entitled"
To the manor born attitude.

How long has it been since the politicians remembered that they work for ALL the people. Not just the people who pay their way into office and pay for their trips and spending sprees.

9. Very admirable. . .
I appreciate when anyone takes what they believe is a principled stand, especially a politician, and advocates for what they believe is right, damn the consequences.

She's wrong, of course. And she'll hopefully pay for it by losing her job in the primary.

But I'll give her a big "huzzah" for expressing her principles, and a loud raspberry to her for her beliefs.

Now I think I'll send Bill Halter a little more money.

If so she's just another hypocrite who's out for herself and has no principles to stand on.
