Pontiac: What might have been
These are concepts. None have been built, and they never will be. GM is shuttering Pontiac at the end of 2010.

1. Doesn't look all that much different from the Firebirds of the late '70s...
...right down to the screaming chicken decal on the hood.

Back in those days, the Firebird was twinned with the Chevy Camaro. With Pontiac D.O.A., do you think they'll just turn that design into a revival of the Camaro?

3. Looks like we're not missing much.
Another round of gas guzzling throwback-mobiles to be driven by cologne soaked, swaggering douche-bags with an insecurity complex.

7. Part of the problem...it's a new Camaro with different trim.
Gone are the days of making different cars. Look at the lines...it's pretty obvious GM was just planning on taking the Camaro base and re-branding it with Firebird trim. Looks sweet, though. But you have to ask...is there really a need to have several versions of the same car, with different nameplates?
