6. Per your request. "to stay classy"....a little musical accompaniment
Edited on Mon Feb-22-10 07:45 PM by hlthe2b
to motivate us all ;)

To dream the impossible dream
To fight the unbeatable foe
To bear with unbearable sorrow
To run where the brave dare not go

To right the unrightable wrong
To love pure and chaste from afar
To try when your arms are too weary
To reach the unreachable star

This is my quest
To follow that star
No matter how hopeless
No matter how far

To fight for the right
Without question or pause
To be willing to march into Hell
For a heavenly cause

And I know if I'll only be true
To this glorious quest
That my heart will lie peaceful and calm
When I'm laid to my rest

And the world will be better for this
That one man, scorned and covered with scars
Still strove with his last ounce of courage
To reach the unreachable star

7. I understand the urging to stay classy
Beyond the wishes of men and women is the reality of karma. For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. What happens to Cheney is predictable. He will get back what he gave out in his life, one way or another, this life or next.

10. The Cosmos' will be done...
I wish him no harm.

He's been "corrected" by many in the press lately, most recently by Colin Powell: “To suggest that somehow we have become much less safer because of the actions of the administration, I don’t think that’s borne out by the facts,” Powell told CBS’s “Face the Nation” on Sunday.

That may be hard to take... Cheney isn't used to being countered... certainly not from "his own side."

30. Well, that is the part ofour "living well" being the best revenge.
I live and let live. I don't have this life that he has, all revenge and bitterness. It is no big deal to me. He does not controlmy life nor I his. So what on earth do we care....really?...what goes around, comes around, right?...

13. Did anyone hear RFK Jr. this morning on Stephanie Miller talking about Cheney?
he said he spokewith people who have known him a long time and that after his heart attack (I guess a big one) his personality really changed and he got really paranoid.

Google "heart surgery personality change" and you'll find a lot.

There are some RWers trying to say that this has happened to Bill Clinton... maybe it did, but I think, as many of the medical stories will tell you happens, it was temporary. He seems to be keeping his lips zipped recently.

I took my dogs to the family vet my grandfather used for years... my dog at the time was very docile, but seemed to be a good judge of character... he snapped at the doc (didn't bite, just snapped a warning) and the vet said, in front of my three kids (all under the age of 12 at the time), "This dog needs taken out in a field and beat in the head with a board until he dies."

Compassionate, no? I later learned his personality changed drastically after heart surgery.

Same happened to an elderly neighbor... but he was just paranoid... he had me lock up some valuables in my china cabinet... then came over daily to check on them. I convinced him to get a safety deposit box... then he drove the bank crazy instead.

I think Cheney was born evil... but it's likely he got worse with his heart surgery.

15. I have a confession...
I made a little bald doll with a familiar sneer;
I stuck pins in it;
I microwaved it;
I threw it and had my dogs fetch it;
This is probably all my fault.

27. Perhaps this health scare will cause him to reconsider ...
... his goals in life, and make him try to atone for his past mis-deeds.

Well, if he wasn't Dick Cheney it might.
