HuffPo - "The Republican Strategy: Covert Destruction at all Costs"
This is a great article that discusses the tandem efforts of the GOP and the corporate media to harm the U.S. for political benefit. The efforts of the Republicans would not be successful but for the media running interference for the Republicans by blaming grid lock on the Democrats, NOT the lock step opposition of the Republicans who are willing to vote against their own bills in order to bring down the Federal government. Such actions are treasonous.

Yet, even liberals buy into the prevailing media narrative. When Senator John McCain votes against a bill that he sponsored, President Obama and the Democrats are blamed for the gridlock. Can you imagine the outrage if Democrats tried that during the Bush years? Remember how Democrats who merely asked for oversight were branded as traitors?

The question is whether we will be bamboozled into eating our own. The Republicans are trying to bring our nation to its knees for political gain. Will we call them on it? Will we support Democrats? Or, will we obediently follow the media narrative that gives the right wing a free pass?

It takes awhile to make sense of the entrails of the Republican Party, partly because they are just so toxic, but also because it's actually difficult to comprehend that an American political party can so deliberately sabotage its own government and nation.

But after observing their behavior and their policy of, "Just Say No" -- sometimes to their own suggestions, one can only surmise that they long ago left the business of governing and have instead agreed to a covert game plan of destruction while simultaneously playing an overt game of seduction with the American public. The seductive part of their plan is the one more familiar to the public -- constantly talk about what the people want to hear. No more taxes. Defend the country. Go Conservatives. Minimal government.

Meanwhile, the depth, width, and long range planning of the Republicans' dark strategy should have every American shaking with terror, especially since it is picking up momentum once again.

As I observe the constant aggressive and non-cooperative behavior of the Republican Senators that is so outlandish as to border on choreographed (if not near-treasonous), it's blatantly obvious that the long term Republican agenda is to sabotage this Democratic administration so successfully as to make it appear responsible for all the failures of the Bush administration while simultaneously preventing this administration from accomplishing anything on its own merit, even to the detriment of the good of this nation.

If their plan succeeds -- and it's certainly gaining ground, unfortunately -- the Republicans have a good chance of returning to the White House. How tragic for this nation to find itself returning to the dark days of "rule by fear". Just picture Cheney and Rove laughing behind the scenes. That one image alone should be enough of a reminder as to why the American people should wake up and recognize these political spell-casters for what they really are -- corporate loyalists with Fascist leanings.

* * *
The Republican creed of "less government" is in truth one of "corporate government". Their covert destructive policies need to be publically exposed again and again until even their Brown Shirt Tea Party minions can understand that this party is fundamentally dangerous to the future of this nation.

4. It's really sabotage isn't it?
I mean, the Republicans are sabotaging the government and then faking outrage and shock that it isn't working. Any time a Republican shout's "Fire," you should not be surprised if their clothes smell like kerosene.

5. I don't know what it would take for him to work for them directly, but you know, Frank Luntz has
written at least one book! Dems need to take control of the f&*king message. Doing so (and lobbying/bribery) is the *only* reason the RW has flourished for so long. Luntz cannot be the only one who has to power to discern the terminology by which to move the masses.

Jeeezus! WTF? I'm sick of the Rs winning while being treasonous vipers!

Do I seem overly angry to you? ; )

6. "Near-treasonous" behavior?
This one statement describes it perfectly:

"As I observe the constant aggressive and non-cooperative behavior of the Republican Senators that is so outlandish as to border on choreographed (if not near-treasonous), it's blatantly obvious that the long term Republican agenda is to sabotage this Democratic administration so successfully as to make it appear responsible for the failures of the Bush administration while simultaneously preventing this administration from accomplishing anything on its own merit, even to the detriment of the good of this nation."

That IS exactly what Republicans are doing....blatantly sabotaging "this Democratic administration so successfully......preventing this administration from accomplishing anything .....even to the DETRIMENT of the good of this nation."

(Love of country.... is definitely NOT a part of the Republican agenda!)
