The "smackdown" consisted of nothing but "she's a slut".

If the premise had been "she's not owed anything because she knew Tiger was married, and she should be publicly apologizing rather than demanding apologies" I'd have been fine with that.

But instead, it consisted of "she's made porn, therefore she doesn't deserve any respect whatsoever." When her lawyer said even porn stars are women (which should not have been a controversial statement) the attack lawyer rolled her eyes and made a face of total disgust, to convey "no, women in the sex industry are barely human."

That's fucked up. It goes right along with the concept that prostitutes are unrapable (their bodies belong to the general public, they don't have the option to not consent to anyone). It goes right along with the idea that in a rape trial, it's important to find out if the woman is a virgin (thus rapable) or if she's had multiple partners before.

And I guarantee at least half the people who read this thread who support legalizing prostitution and generally support porn are the same ones cheering that lawyer for reducing someone in the sex industry to less-than-human status. They don't see them as equal to someone who works in a cubicle or factory - until they try to justify why they should have access to porn/prostitutes on demand.

Pirro is currently under state and federal criminal investigation for allegedly hiring former New York City police commissioner Bernard Kerik to arrange an illegal recording of her husband, whom she suspected of adultery.
