5. LaJolla is a big one -- will cost the FDIC $882.3 million.
The FDIC estimates that the cost to the Deposit Insurance Fund (DIF) will be $882.3 million.

Geoge Washington -- The FDIC estimates that the cost to the Deposit Insurance Fund (DIF) will be $141.4 million

So it is a well over $1 billion weekend for the FDIC losses.

6. Loans to residential developers take down La Jolla Bank.
"Like many community banks, La Jolla Bank didn't make subprime loans or zero-down payment residential mortgages. But it did lend money to residential developers. And some of these construction and land development loans have turned bad as the economy remained weak. "
