According to Naked Came the Senator, Joe the Pilot is representative of the kind of people who voted for him in Massachusetts except that those people went to polls and voted in overwhelming numbers for him whereas Joe the Pilot flew a fucking plane into a goddam building in an attempt to kill a fuckload of people, so, yeah, it’s kind of frustrating. And sad. But mainly frustrating.

Scott Brown sympathizes with Austin bomber: "No one likes paying taxes, obviously"

WASHINGTON -- When does it become somewhat understandable to want to fly planes into buildings?

Appearing on Fox News, newly-minted Sen. Scott Brown (R-MA) showed notable sympathy and scant outrage for Joseph Stack, who crashed his airplane into an IRS building Thursday in an apparent suicide bombing Thursday.

"You don't know anything about the individual," Brown said. "He could have had other issues. Certainly, no one likes paying taxes obviously."

Stack's writings strongly suggest he was motivated by anti-government outrage as he had written fuming anti-tax, anti-IRS screeds in internet message postings.

6. Judging from some of the administration nominations and/or
appointments, that's quite true.

But it's all ok if one says "I forgot" or "My accountant missed it", then it's off to Washington.

12. And you just made the same point that Stack was making,,,
IRS is too complicated to get it right, even with hiring CPA, and it is enforced with careless disregard for most middle-middle and upper-middle class while rich and corps get off or aren't audited in the first place.

He wasn't against paying taxes, he was against being screwed by the way gov't and IRS is so preferential rich/corporate as well as the just plain insanity of confusion called the IRS Tax Code which virutally guarantees that anyone making enough to file 1040 vs 1040EZ, it at a nearly 99% risk of having done something wrong that could equal interest and penalty and since audits are done after the fact by years, those interests and penalties can be way more than any mistake was.

4. Clearly the problem lies with office buildings.
They are obviously a hazard to aviation and should be banned. That makes more sense than any government official defending Joe Stack.

Why are so many people who hate government IN government?!

10. But they do like roads, bridges, schools, clean air, safe food, that big bad military
that makes them feel safe, not to mention the cops and the fire department, the social security checks that come every month, the medicare when they're old...
