1. I did not.

But then again, as an old friend used to say, "If you have to pay taxes, you're in good shape. Pay'em!"

On edit: I'm a beneficiary of the Bush Economic Miracle. I'm retired and have two jobs.

2. So did most people...
May not feel like it to some, but Obama kept his campaign promise and delivered tax cuts for almost everyone.

Media has done a pathetic job reporting this fact, but the vast majority of us did get tax cuts.

8. Making work pay...
I am not a tax person, but I believe it is called the "Making work pay credit".

I think most people get to keep a little more each week, and there is a section on the tax forms called something like the "Making work pay credit". It adds like $400 single or $800 married to the total amount of taxes withheld. So your taxable income is less and the result is you owe less taxes or get a bigger refund.

Again, I am not a tax person, but that is how I remember it being shown to me. Apologies if I got this wrong.

Anyway, most people definitely did get a tax cut. The fact that the media has failed to report this properly is maddening.

Oh, and the galling thing is, this is the kind of tax cut Republicans supposedly support. The kind that isn't just a check in the mail that people end up using to pay down a credit card. The kind of tax cut most people should have seen and been able to plan around (even though it is not huge it is something). Yet the GOP opposed it. Kinda makes it obvious they never had any intention of working with the President to get things going in the right direction.
