and many (primarily minority) residents have never/can never return. So, they did get their way in some areas...

2. Yes, there are quite a few students in my school from NO
who came here after Katrina, and can't go back. So, yes, part of Hastart's dream came true.

3. Check it out on google maps
A couple of years ago I was bored and thought of checking out New Orleans. Fucking blew my mind. I don't know how often they update the pictures, but I imagine they occasionally do. For anyone who wants to see, check it out in satellite mode and zoom in on the lower 9th and Chalmette.

5. Not quite..
They wanted to see the "Disneyland" section retained..but they were happy to be rid of all those poor black people.. They were fine with shipping out all the poor black people they could round up..but were ok with the poor whites staying..(some of them)..just enough to "serve" the rich folks, whose homes were mostly spared.
