Yahoo has dug up the old "Mission Accomplished" pic

US President George W. Bush addressing the nation on Iraq beneath a banner reading "Mission Accomplished" aboard the nuclear aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln as it sails for Naval Air Station North Island, San Diego, California, May 2003. Ignoring President George W. Bush's veto threat, the US Congress passed a bill setting a timeline to withdraw US troops from Iraq, with the top Democrat saying it sets "a new course, away from a civil war with no end in sight."(AFP/File/Stephen Jaffe)

1. Note what an idiot Bush is--the mission was accomplished FOUR YEARS AGO, so why the fuck are we
still there?

Declare victory, ya asswipe, and let's go HOME.

2. The Democrats should pin this picture to the bill, with a stickie note to Bush:
"You declared MISSION ACCOMPLISHED years ago. It's time to bring the troops home, don't you think?"

5. Do you recall shortly after this little political theatre
things started going to shit and the repubs said the Navy put the banner up there. Eventually the truth came out that indeed the Navy did "put" the banner up there, at the white house's request.

9. Now that you mention it, it does sound vaguely familiar.
The White House/Bush Misadministration tells so many lies, it's hard to keep them all straight.

I wonder if anyone has kept a list of Bush lies in numerical order? He's got to be in the thousands by now. (Tens of thousands if we knew about all of them!)

6. Yes.
I believe it was the video at the WH webpage. If I remember correctly.

So many cover-ups and false information, I am having a hard time keeping up.

10. Moron* sitting in his crawford den, is probably looking back at that
photo, while he* swills down his 5th martini of the morning and thinks, "ahhh good times". At which point, a sun beam lights upon his* hand and he* bursts into flames. LOL
