17. The funniest thing is, they never read the Pres' speech beforehand and address what it says.

They just write their own speech and then end up looking like idiots when they present themselves as being opposed to things he never said he'd do, in favor of things he actually said he'd do, and otherwise just generally blather their own dog whistle phrases and talking points ("free enterprise," "liberty," "strong families," "respect for life," etc.).

Especially when he went on about the the fruit-of-the-loom bomber being given every right that a US citizen enjoys, and promptly refusing to cooperate any further with the investigation. Gee, he totally forgot about the shoe-bomber being tried and convicted in a criminal court, and I could have swore I read in media reports that the fruit-of-the-loom bomber was very cooperative with investigators.

Almost made me puke.
