emboldened and energized repuke + dispirited progressives and dems
creates the perfect storm for dems in November. Repubs are about to raise a shitload of money on the MA results. The AA voters who came out for Obama stayed home in MA and unless they're given a reason they'll stay home in November. Independents blow with the wind. Middle class anxiety is focused around the boogyman of tax increases. Every dem up for election will get an energetic repuke challenge.

And President Obama seems to think the way to go is more bipartisanship.

Get ready for a very ugly result in November.

1. dispirited progressives and dems, only those who were surprised by the results.
It sounds to me, my oh so good friend cail, that you are knocking Barack Obama on this thread. How dare you, what kind of democrat are you, other than just angry?

3. yep. I'm criticizing Obama.
I think he's weak and that his inexperience with Washington is not a good thing.

2. Democrats still have the issues on their side
Republicans only desire is to Bring down Obama no matter what the costs are to the nation..It is absolutely essential to make Obama out to be ineffectual or the whole idea of white superiority gets debunked and Republicans would die before admitting that. Democrats just need to get themselves out there. On every talk show and every political show. Republicans have always dominated that arena but that can change. Democrats do have a better message if only they can get it out..They have failed terribly on that score so far..

4. Democrats would have to prove they have the courage
to implement policy on those issues first. It doesn't matter if you have a message if you don't act on it.
