7. Yup, on this issue, he did, indeed.
He said "Shit Happens" which I seriously endorse. http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=389x7416913

He poked cheenee in his eye with a very sharp stick.

I still wish a head or two had rolled. There are ABSOLUTELY some "stay behinds" who would have made excellent patsies. Feed a few of them to the snarling right wing attack dogs.

8. I wish it were that simple. If you feed the snarlers they just want more.
They will not be sated until they have Obama's head on a spike outside the city gates.

9. Agreed & I loved how he said this isn't about bipartisanship - it's about citizenship.
He hit all the points.

I support his approach to foreign policy and national security. Outside of our country, he's representing us very well.

13. I agree. He handled this one very, very well
I've been very critical of the President, but I'll give credit where credit is due. Masterful approach.

If only we could get him to take this approach to domestic policies and Afghanistan.

16. Yeah, how it plays out is the bottom line. Yet he sure laid out a good administrative approach,
as well as a good broad policy approach on the issue of extremist violence.

I'm sure Repubs were looking for a "mea culpa" in some form or another. Or looking to spin any comment as such.

What Obama delivered was a heads up assessment of what went wrong, what can be done, as much as possible, to limit extremist violence in the future and what can be done in regards to our foreign policies to support those goals.
