WTF! Drug Reimportation Killed Too? 30 Dems Vote To Strip It!
Can someone tell me what the hell is left in this bill? Aside from handing the insurance companies 30 million new customers that is.

4. No pre-existing conditions, no dropping the sick, no lifetime caps, no discrimination...
A shitload of tax breaks and subsidies to allow people to actually get healthcare...

11. It might allow some to purchase some form of
health insurance; at what price is anybody's guess at this point.

It will replace lifetime caps with a percentage of coverage based on actuarial cost - a percentage less in both the House and Senate versions than the 80% that is currently offered by most insurance companies. How that actuarial formula will work is unknown as well, but it will probably be based on age, gender, and 'condition' - so while they might have to offer insurance, they aren't going to offer it cheaply, and they will probably be able to implement annual caps to replace lifetime caps.

Nothing they are offering is necessarily going to allow people to 'actually get healthcare', Wraith. It will allow some - those who can afford it and perhaps those who are truly indigent - access to some form of health insurance. Given yesterday's news that the Fed is actually considering lowering the poverty level for the first time in history, that will help ensure that fewer people are eligible for that 'shitload of tax breaks and subsidies' you feel will save the day.

There is potentially a very wide chasm between the coverage and the care.

6. We've been lied to. Again.
And Obama is in on it as well. Liars, all of them.

So much for change. Move the furniture around to cover the stains on the carpeting, but it's the same old shit.

9. Those ARE NOT DEMOCRATS - I'm sorry but these cretins who put 'D' after their name are...
...no more freaking Democrats than I am a rocket scientist - just because I put "RS" after my name.

DEMOCRATS do not behave like that. PERIOD. They do NOT walk the walk of a Dem. They are NOT Dems.
