So a freeper was saying how Americans have no work ethic...
You know, taking an hour off early to go attend their son's soccer game.

That's the excuse.

Gee, so family-affirming values are now spat on by "the party of family values"? People have to be in one job for 12 hours a day?

Oh, and people who wait for the clock to vamoose. Why? Is it laziness? Are they denied opportunities, despite showing intellect and ability? What's the WHOLE story? I don't think it's always laziness...

I wanted to respond to that jackass and inform him so hard he'd wake up in the stone age, but it wasn't worth the time to register.

1. Funny, when they start ranting about this country being so superior to the rest of the
world, I always reply that we have only ever been superior in a few things - one is our work ethic, another is our technology.

Our work ethic came from our MELTING POT immigration. (With no intent to say that natives didn't work hard as that would be ridiculous).

The technology also came from our MELTING POT immigration. We don't have England's centuries old history. We are all children of immigrants whether born on this soil or not.

They act and talk so pompously. Royal Americans ... give us a break with your thinking.

I guess they all bumped their heads when they fell out of the sky and lost an ability to use logic.

2. You know I found out a long time ago that finger pointers always points fingers at others
to get people away from looking at what he is doing. I knew a GM worker that was Baptist, anti union who constantly ranted and raved about how unions kept lazy people on the job. Why they purposely kept production numbers down so they didn't have to bust their ass to met production. Then because most workers could do the 8 hour production, because they made sure production was low, in 4 hours so a buddy would volunteer to punch their card out at the end of the shift and they would go home 4 hours early.

That wasn't right, hard working stiffs like him busted their asses 40 hours + a week, it was just lazy assholes that unions protected from the foreman's. 3 nights after one of these rants he showed up at my door 4 hours before his shift ended, he wanted to check out the topless bar that just opened, so much for his religious convictions, I asked him wasn't he supposed to be at work until midnight, he said well I finished production for my shift so instead of standing around for 4 hours I paid a guy who works with me to punch me off the time clock.

3. My last three jobs had hours that just took me out.
1. Roll Tender...Running a pair of presses that stamped out 18 inch Microfoil Balloons a the rate of 1400 an hour,12 hours a day,7 days a week....84 hours a week,They called it Mandatory Overtime.

2.Restaurant Employee...Do it all kinda kitchen job...Cook,Dishdog,Janitor,Prep,Scheduling (Both kitchen and floor staff),Ordering,maintenance....My official job title? Cook.

3.Delivery Driver...Swing Shifting (4 nights 4pm to 11am,1 day 7am to 6pm) this one really took me out...When I asked to drop the day in the warehouse,as an 85 hour week was killing me (You can imagine what shape I was in driving a large truck all those hours) my "Dittohead" t-shirt wearing supervisor told me "If you don't like it..."

I Love "Right to Work" States! :sarcasm:

5. Fuck that freeper
And the horse that piece of shit rode in on. My work ethic is just fine, I'd be willing to bet hard earned money I have worked circles around anything that pos has ever done. Funny thing about my work ethic though, I work hard I better be getting paid well enough for it or I'm not gonna do it. My dad had an old saying that still rings true, he said "son you can get all the work you want if you'll just work cheap enough". He was the hardest worker I ever knew, and he was a die hard teamster. So fuck a bunch of stupid freepers wanting to lecture anybody about work, their scanning asses are the reason the wage scale in this country sucks do badly now. :grr:
