Blance Lincoln's flip flop on the public option is noted by the Washington Post:
Looks like blue dog Blanche Lincoln does not want to miss out on the huge amounts of cash she will likely receive from the health industry for 2010 campaign if she helps kill the public option.

Washington Post (11-17-09): In July, she wrote in the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette: "Individuals should be able to choose from a range of quality health insurance plans. Options should include private plans as well as a quality, affordable public plan or non-profit plan that can accomplish the same goals as those of a public plan."
By Sept. 1, she had changed her mind. "I would not support a solely government-funded public option," Lincoln said at an event in Little Rock. "We can't afford that."

2. No, she'd rather miss out on the 15% of liberals that will not vote for her...
in the next election. Maybe she can win with Republican votes? I doubt it but somebody needs to bite the big one.

4. Then it's a good thing that no one is even consiering a public option that is government funded.
All public options under consideration are premium-funded.
