2. Here's my take....

I don't recall, in my mind I know I don't recall, I now recall that I didn't recall meeting with Rove and the President, I now recall the conversation but still don't recall the meeting. I don't know what Sampson did but I know he did the appropriate thing, I had no part, know very little about the process but I KNOW the process was the right process. Oh, and just in case, Senator, you didn't hear me the 54th time, I don't recall.

I would laugh but, in reality, that IS his testimony in a nutshell, imo.

13. True, and I also neglected to mention his contemptuous tone

when he would spit out the word "Senator", it was appalling but, then again, everything he said was appalling.

3. Hard to describe...it was pathetic! I actually felt a little sorry

for Gonzo but only a tiny, tiny bit. The questions were very pointed and he was very evaisive to the point that it was very uncomfortable to watch. The Senators, even some Repubs, seemed to alternate between wonderment and annoyance - anger. Gonzo should resign before they bring the lunch bill.

It was his usual uninformative testimony.

5. Kyle Sampsons plan to remove the AGs was a key question

Gonzo said Sampson testified 20 times that Gonzo said it was a bad idea when he did not testify saying that.

Schumer said Sampson said it was a bad idea in retrospect, but at the time he was going full bore ahead with the plan.

How could Sampson be working on this plan if Gonzo did not approve of it? Someone is lying or Gonzo has no idea what goes on in his own Dept.

19. To me, a major highlight was Whitehouse questioning

Or rather lecturing (with Fredo nodding along, seemingly acknoweding and admitting what Whitehouse was saying) about the numerous inappropriate points of contact between the White House and the DOJ.

They are plowing a path to the WH, as Schumer said after the hearings.
