Palin Starts 'Book Tour' in Grand Rapids, Michigan
She's kicking off her book tour next Wednesday.
Grand Rapids is the home town of Dick and Betsy DeVoss.
The heir to the Amway -- cough, Scamway -- fortune,
he ran as the ultra-dim GOP candidate for Michigan governor in 2006.
She's the brains of the outfit and sister to Erik the Blackwater Prince.
The bloody lot of them are humongous GOP funders, which is why, not to be outdone,
Rev. Gubner Huckleberry Huckabee will be in GR next Thursday.

She is fully and completely poseable

These turds are positioning themselves for 2012, ingratiating themselves with those dwelling at the bottom of the spiritual barrel. While most people in Western Michigan are good folk, the region is home to some of the most conservative religious kookery this side of apartheid or C Street.

This choice of town to kick off their "book" tours remind me of 1980, when Ronnie Reagan appealed to the subterranean racist crowd. He opened his campaign in Philadelphia, Mississippi, where three civil rights marchers were murdered. His presence there sent a dog-whistle of a signal that he was "one of us" to the racist crowd.

Like Pruneface, Queen Sarah and Huckleberry, are signallin' that they're "OK" to the religious racist turds in GR and across America. While they haven't announced their candidacies, they're making out like theirs is a three-year campaign of book signings and speech making. With Corporate McPravda on their side, it's a good bet to play out loud and hard on the tee vee. You betcha.

6. What I meant by good folk...
My ex-wife's family is from Grand Rapids. Really, really good people.

One of her cousins died in Vietnam. The guy's family was loaded, so he could've avoided service. He volunteered.

A lot of people miss him.

7. Genuflecting at the DeVoss-Prince money altar may become de rigueur for GOPsters.
The Force in politics is green. And Scamway has generated billions for the most money-grubbing tax-sheltering bunch of greedhead conservatives this state has ever seen.

Bush + Republicans + Amway = Fraud

December 07, 2004
By Evelyn Pringle

This article is the first in an investigative series covering the Amway Scandal.

December 07,2004 - Former Amway insider, Eric Scheibeler, has written a must read new book called "Merchants Of Deception." This one time member of the Amway motivational cult has turned whistleblower and FBI witness and boy does he have some tales to tell.

In the book, Scheibeler exposes an Enron sized fraud with Amway raking In billions of dollars annually, and the billionaire founding families being the largest soft money contributors to the GOP, with funds that have been generated from what may turn out to be one of the largest consumer fraud scandals in history, perpetrated by the world's largest multi-level marketing company (MLM).

SNIP...

As a life long conservative, Scheibeler was discouraged to both discover and document that "the GOP seems to have been hijacked by political payoffs from an industry that is rife with consumer deception, and bogus 'business opportunity' selling." He goes on to say that it's "time this secret influence peddling and the harm it causes consumers and our democracy are revealed. I was on the inside for nine years. I saw it with my own eyes. I also have the internal documents, financials, and the audio and video tapes to prove it."

Merchants of Deception exposes the company's deceptive marketing of phony business opportunities and other secret scams by Amway's top promoters to sell so-called success tools to unsuspecting recruits all over the world. It also contains first hand accounts of the Kingpin's fraudulent recruitment practices that have led to an endless stream of lawsuits.

SNIP...

Ivins also noted that, "House Majority Whip Tom DeLay, a onetime Amway salesman, also remains close to the company." Which figures, because everybody knows that if there's a buck to be made from a scam, DeLay is sure to be lurking around in the shadows somewhere nearby.

Fellowship Foundation Followers = Modern Freemasons?

Talking Points Memo
July 20, 2009, 4:35PM

I realize that Doug Coe and his followers go to great lengths to say that their activities are not secret. But in 1985, Ronald Reagan said this about this group, "I wish I could say more about it, but it's working precisely because it's private."

Someone recently responded to one of my blog posts by saying that this country was based on Christianity and the Bible. Sure. But consider the impact that freemasonry had on the founding of our nation.

SNIP...

So is that what we have here? That so many politicians have been involved in Fellowship Foundation activities that to say Gerald Ford was a member, and Richard Nixon was not, is pointless because the Fellowship Foundation convinced Ford to pardon Nixon?

Is it futile to compile a list of Fellowship Foundation "members" because any politician interested in re-election knows that he or she must attend the National Prayer Breakfast?

CONTINUED...

Thank you for the heads-up on Zondervan, slampoet. As long as they follow the Golden Rule...

BTW: Here's an online resource on the Fellowship Foundation I stumbled across in researching an answer to your post:
