Bush's Iraq policy: "Often in error, never in doubt."
Great line. I don't know if it is original, but I heard William Perry, Secretary of Defense under Carter, say it at the Commonwealth Club of California. Perry is also against a military draft. He said that the 3 things which make our armed forces great are training, training, training and that if there were a draft that many would leave in 2-3 years and the benefit of their training would be lost. This is one of the reasons why most military leaders do not want a draft. Perry also said that he wants going to war to be difficult and that to imagine what somebody like Bush would do with an army the size of which a draft would provide. I can totally agree with that last point.

In addition, Perry also said that Congress should pass a binding resolution that none of the Iraq money can be used for the invasion of another country. This needs to be done and done soon.
