Who wants to get them some trigger?
Triggers will never work. The insurance companies will find a hundred different ways to circumvent it.

Let’ say that the trigger that the health care reform bill concentrates on is the cost of the insurance premium. All the insurance company would have to do is to provide less coverage on lab fees or decide not to cover more procedures that they would now consider non-essential in order to avoid raising the premium. They will absolutely find all types of creative ways to move the ball around and thus avoid the trigger.

It would take years for congress to get its act together in order to try to rectify the new problems that the insurance industry will create as a result of avoiding the tirggers.

To me anyway, a health care reform bill that has triggers in it is a useless false promise that’s just not gonna happen, regardless of how high or scarce medical coverage becomes. Smoke and mirrors to say the least and I have to believe that Obama knows this to be the case.

I was not born yesterday and I don’t believe Obama was either and why he believes that triggers are acceptable, if that be the case, is beyond me. Most folks will see this for what it is, of that I am assured.

TRIGGER=GIMMICK=DISHONNESTY

1. We've already reached the trigger point - the healthcare system is BROKEN
When 44,000 people a year DIE from lack of coverage, the system is broken! When a majority of the people who declare bankruptcy are people with overwhelming medical debts WITH health insurance, the system is far past broken!

If it weren't already totally fucked up, we would not have gotten as far as we have with trying to get something approaching health care/health insurance reform. Anyone calling for a trigger is completely unaware of reality or has been bought off by the health insurance industry.
