White House Claims Executive Privilege Over RNC Emails

http://thinkprogress.org/2007/04/17/wh-claims-executive-privilege-over-rnc-emails

WH claims executive privilege over RNC emails. In a letter to the RNC, Emmet Flood, a special counsel to President Bush, “today again raised the possibility of an executive-privilege claim on e-mails and other documents from private e-mail accounts used by senior White House officials” but controlled by the RNC. Rep. John Conyers (D-MI) called the request “extreme and unnecessary” and said it was “a clear attempt, on the Administration’s part, to delay this process and keep the wheels of Justice turning slowly.”

White House Raises Potential Executive-Privilege Claim on RNC E-mails

A White House official today again raised the possibility of an executive-privilege claim on e-mails and other documents from private e-mail accounts used by senior White House officials but controlled by the Republican National Committee.

In a letter to Robert Kelner, the RNC's counsel, Emmet Flood, a special counsel to President Bush, reiterated the desire of the White House to review any materials it is considering turning over the House Judiciary Committee before doing so.

26. then they are Toast.. interstate violations are severe, the integration of the cafe by Blacks in the
beginning of the civil rights movement was decided in the courts in favor of the Blacks and integrating businesses because the sugar packets on the tables were transported across the state line.. interstate commerce put the situation in the federal courts, and trumped state segregation laws

Executive Privilege, they used "Executive Branch interest". I can't seem to find any legal finding that allows the WH to claim "Executive Branch interest" as holding any legal claim, lol.

They know they have NO Executive Privilege claim regarding the RNC e-mails so are trying to "fudge" the language to sound like they do.

17. "executive branch interest"
Does that mean their crimes have been accruing interest and they're about to be forced to pay up?

19. Conyers should say that Congress supercedes Executive Branch interest
with their Congressional Branch interest.

Check the Constitution. Which is listed first?

Article I -- Legislative Branch

Article II -- Executive Branch

Article III -- Judiciary Branch

Enough of this Republican Party totalitarian bullshit-we, the people demand accountability or there will be significant lawful demonstrations of our power to oust these criminals.

There should be marshalls on their way over to the RNC offices right now to seize the servers and lock them up.

14. Having it both ways; exhibit one.
Either they used the RNC servers for more than political purposes, thus circumventing the Presidential Records act, or they used them legitimately - for purely political topics, in which case there should be no question that the data must be surrendered upon a congressional order.
