For some reason the RNC has seen fit to send me the 2009 Obama Agenda Survey.
Some sample questions:

Do you support amnesty for illegal immigrants?

Should English be the official language of the United States:

Are you in favor of the expanded welfare benefits and unlimited eligibility (no time, education or work requirements) that Democrats in Congress are pushing to pass?

Do you believe that Barack Obama's nominees for federal courts should be immediately and unquestionably approved for their lifetime appointments by the U.S. Senate?

Do you support the creation of a national health insurance plan that would be administered by bureaucrats in Washington, D.C.?

Are you in favor of reinstituting the military draft, as Democrats in Congress have proposed.

--------

It listed my Congressional district on the envelope. Do you suppose there are different surveys according to demographics of the districts?

I don't know how I got on their mailing list, but I'm returning their survey with big bold letters telling them to remove my name.

1. Should "Caucasian" be the official race of the United States?
Do you believe that hardworking Americans should foot the bill for bloodsucking hypochondriac welfare queens?

Republicans are funny.

2. Jesu.
I can just imagine some more questions:

"Are you against Obama sacrificing babies in the Rose Garden?"

"Should the Democrats buy liquor and hookers with your grandmother's Social Security check?"

"Would you be willing to go without food one day a week so that illegal immigrants could use food stamps at McDonalds?"

3. Is it the same one that has THESE questions??? Total Push Poll Bullshit???
(posted last night by ChoppinBroccoli): http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=389&topic_id=6789129&mesg_id=6789129

ECONOMIC ISSUES

1. Should we unite as a Party to oppose President Obama's huge tax increases on the American people, particularly the new tax on dividends, capital gains and small businesses?

2. Should the Democrats' so-called Stimulus Bill with its wasteful pork-barrel spending be repealed?

3. Should we oppose the federal government bailout of private companies?

4. Should Republicans in Congress work to expose and eliminate new spending from Obama/Pelosi/Reid that amounts to welfare payments for Democrat interest groups?

5. Do you oppose the Obama National Energy Tax, also known as "cap and trade," which would skyrocket your utility bills and destroy jobs while having virtually no impact on the environment?

DOMESTIC ISSUES

1. Do you oppose the Obama-Pelosi health care takeover plan that would bring Washington bureaucrats between doctors and patients, ration medical treatment and deny critical care while skyrocketing the national debt?

2. Would you support health care reforms that lower costs and improve care by bringing more competition and choice into the health insurance market while cracking down on predatory lawsuits against doctors and hospitals?

3. Do you agree that we must stop illegal immigration?

4. Do you oppose so-called "card check" legislation, which eliminates secret ballot elections during unionization drives and makes it easier for labor bosses to organize?

5. Should we do everything we can to stop Democrats from using the so-called "fairness doctrine" to shut down conservative talk radio shows?

6. Should we resist Barack Obama's proposal to spend billions of federal taxpayer dollars to pay "volunteers" to perform his chosen tasks?

FAMILY AND SOCIAL ISSUES

1. President Obama recently signed an executive order mandating taxpayer dollars be spent to pay for abortions in foreign countries. Should Republicans pass legislation to repeal this executive order?

2. Should Republicans fight against judicial nominees who bring a personal, left-wing agenda on social issues to their jobs as judges?

3. Do you want us to defend the partial-birth abortion ban from attackes by the new Democratic majority?

HOMELAND SECURITY ISSUES

1. If Barack Obama tries to gut the USA PATRIOT Act and other important laws that promote the safety and security of all Americans, should Republicans in Congress fight back?

2. Should we stop Democrat leaders from cutting funding from our intelligence agencies or bringing back Clinton-era restrictions on inter-agency communications?

3. Do you support the use of air strikes against any country that offers safe harbor or aid to individuals or organizations committed to further attacks on America?

4. Should we unite in support of full funding for border and port security when Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid try to make cuts in these areas?

5. Are you in favor of a space-based defense system to protect America from intercontinental ballistic missiles?

DEFENSE ISSUES

1. Should we stop any effort to have U.S. troops serve under United Nations' commanders?

2. Do you agree that our top military priority should be fighting terrorists?

3. Should we fight military-cutting efforts in Congress, such as the proposal from liberal Barney Frank to slash the Pentagon budget by 25%?

4. Should Republicans continue to support the State of Israel?

5. Even though Barack Obama pledged to meet personally with the likes of Raul Castro, Hugo Chavez and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, should Republicans continue to focus on supporting democratic movements in oppressive states like Cuba, Venezuala and Iran?

Then there's a section asking for money, with yet another question. "Will you join the Republican National Committee by making a contribution today?" And the choices are:

Yes, I support the RNC and am enclosing my most generous contribution of: $500, $250, $100, $50, $35, $25, Other $________.

Yes, I support the RNC, but I am unable to participate at this time. However, I have enclosed $12 to cover the cost of tabulating my survey.

No, I favor electing liberal Democrats over the next ten years.

Then there's a section titled "Special Questions For RNC Members Only (Your gift today makes you a member in good standing of the RNC)", and it consists of only one question: "Which part of the Obama/Pelosi/Reid agenda do you most forcefully oppose?" And the options are:

Government-run health care
Massive tax hikes
Left-wing activist judges
Legalized partial-birth abortions
National Energy Tax (cap and trade)
Expanded federal power and wasteful spending
Job-killing regulations on small businesses
Repealing the USA PATRIOT Act
Other

and please remove my name from their mailing list. We'll see if it does any good.

If they want to send me this junk and ask me to respond, they can pay for the trip both ways.

10. The one I just returned had a postage paid
envelope in it. Those things cost them way more than ordinary 1st class mail.

12. Granny, They DO Pay For It
The RNC has been sending my wife (a reformed Republican) these things in the mail every month for like a year (I actually got the one referenced in the Original Post LAST month), and I've started posting the more ridiculous parts of them on this site (see the link another poster provided above). I always fill them out and send them back, and I make sure to load up the envelope with as much crap as I can. In fact, I have one sitting right next to my computer RIGHT NOW. You need to read what it says on the envelope.

"By using your own first class stamp to return this envelope, you will be helping us save much needed funds. Thank you."

And the place where you're supposed to put the stamp says, "No postage necessary if mailed in the United States."

The RNC picks up the tab for the mailing. That's why I load it up to make it as heavy as possible. One of these days, I'm thinking about taping the envelope to a cinder block or something and really gouging them, but I haven't worked up the nerve to do it yet.

You should do the same. Make them waste as much money as possible. That's why I don't have them take us off their mailing list. You can skew their results AND cost them money simply by posing as a disgruntled Republican (not that they're likely to listen, but I find it hilarious nonetheless).

but they will pick up the tab for me to return their bs survey.

15. Of course. They don't really want people forming their own opinions.
They might come to a different conclusion. Much better to tell them what they are supposed to think.

16. I think we got that very one. I filled it in from a Dem point of view and mailed it back...
Let them chew on that.

We get them every few years, probably because my husband teaches in the Business Division at the local college They never come in my name, which is all over the place in local progressive causes.
