Edited on Mon Oct-12-09 04:23 PM by katty
please explain to me WHY tweeting, twitting, twittering.. TYPING is(every thought bubble you have) so damn attractive? yeah, you can call it 'texting' all you want...it's still boring, old typing.

2. your profile says you've done that around 9000 times on this website
Others' motivations for posting to Twitter may be similar to your motivation for posting on DU.

6. Wouldn't want that. I'm going back to using 2 Dixie cups and a string for
my communication!

But never could figure the attraction, let alone how to work it. Just a fad I suppose, It's much more fun arguing here at DU:hi:

14. I love it
It's a quick and easy way to read the news. I have so little time during the day and reading Tweets takes little time.

http://twitter.com/nationalADAPT

Gov. Perdue (R-Complete Waste Of Oxygen) has apparently granted them a meeting with his chief of staff tomorrow! :wow:

16. It's good for receiving alerts on things you are interested in, for one thing..
I've a firefox add-on that puts a Twitter link on my bottom browser bar. As one example, I follow some landmark preservation groups which 'tweet' when they post new news on their web sites.
The add-on lets me know a new tweet arrived. I could set these up as Google alerts or RSS feeds etc. but using Twitter to learn about them is faster than going to a web page every day, reading then deleting alert emails etc. I click on the twitter icon in FF, a little message box pops up, I see what they posted abt in abt 2 seconds, then either go to the web page via their link, or go back to what I was doing.

It's also useful in my case to let some people know that I'm still alive lol since I'm not the most diligent email-er and I hate talking on the phone.
