Feds: Food stamps swapped for booze, Viagra
DETROIT - Viagra and pornography are not staples on the government's food stamp list. But authorities say a Detroit liquor store supplied them during a series of illegal deals.

1. they are swapped for everything under the sun
Edited on Sat Oct-10-09 05:46 PM by RB TexLa

Used to be they were sold for cash, usually 35 to 50 cents on the dollar. Now with the cards the purchaser has to go with the seller to the store buy the food together and then pay the seller for it.

16. It's nice to laugh a little.
So you stuff a tube sock in your bra before you head down to Dept. of Social Services.

Sweaty tits are a small price to pay for a little canned meat and peanut butter!

cards have helped some but it still happens.

5. I have no doubt abuses do occur
I would rather "some guy" buy porn or liquor (scam the system) than exclude people that would otherwise go hungry. I am of the opinion that the vast majority of food stamp recipients are at risk of going hungry and genuinely do the best they can to feed their families with their allotment.

Wonder how much they spent on the sting operation to save us $100,000

Was watching AKA Tommy Chong the other day, they spent 12 million dollars to bust him. !2 million bucks to bust a guy selling bongs. Talk about fucked up priorities.

cards are usually "traded" or "sold" for cash.it`s unusual that a store would let a card be used. the owner of the store was none to bright
