Imus Mess & Campus Massacre TV Spree--- Further proof that THE MEDIA is the problem
Consolidated mass mega corporate media.

Time for change. These events are opportunities to change for the better.

:patriot:

While we're at it-- let's invite the media vampires to wallpaper the nation's eyeballs with compete coverage of the Gonzalez hearing (when it finally happens).

1. wait a minute
you're equating what some idiot radio host said to the murder of 30 college students? I mean, yeah, the coverage is a bit over the top, but they two things are hardly equivalent.

2. the imus mess oozed out of the boil of bigotry that drives and supports the corporate status quo
which is directly tied to the cannabilistic sensationalizing of the events of today by the same big companies for the same reasons.

3. Not at all, but both were useful to their aims of ignoring the real news in this country.
As Igor said, "It's what I do."

6. I don't.
ALL of it is "real news."

9. Both are true. The megamedia focuses on certain "real news" at the exclusion of all else
The bloodthirsty corpmedia's response and packaging of yesterday's horror in VA is truly disgusting. On the heels of Imus mess, it highlights how the public is manipulated with how and what the media lens is focused on. We're told what to think and what to think about it.

10. I completely agree
Yesterday's sensationalism completely obscured the fact that the Bush administration failed to meet its 2 PM subpoena deadline to provide documents to the House Judiciary committee. This potential Constitutional crisis went essentially unreported.
