I wish to apologize to anyone who I may have offended yesterday.
Yesterday I posted a thread using Al Capone's funded soup lines to express a principle as to why I disagree with Obama getting a peace prize while he's continuing the war in Afghanistan. I never intended to compare the two men, they are indeed polar opposites. War is a sensitive issue I am very passionate against and I only sought to express a principle.

Nevertheless, I can see how it may offend someone. So because of that and the fact that I am not here to try and offend anyone, I wish to express my humble apologies to those I offended.

Peace,
Xicano

1. It's probably for the best that I missed that comparison.

Just another interesting comparison.

9. Well then he was obviously a good guy
and it was clearly misguided for anybody to win a peace prize for condemning him.

16. the burden of sadness about the inequities of the world the way it
is breaks harder across some people's backs than others. I wish for hope and if giving this man a nobel prize helps him in doing justice for Afghanistan then more power to him. We are all holding onto the idea and reality of hope. apology accepted. Now go and sin no more, sweetness. ;)

4. Thanks, but personally I feel that a day that goes by without
my having offended someone here is a day wasted.
But hey, that's just me.

5. The world and DU would be a better by embracing the adept of not taking
offense when none is intended. Perhaps you are guilty of hyperbole but that is all.

10. My bad. Meant adage not adept.
Post should read- The world and DU would be a better place by embracing the adage of not taking offense when none is intended. Perhaps you are guilty of hyperbole but that is all.

6. "why I disagree with Obama getting a peace prize"
Strange. I took it as an example of why you thought Capone should be awarded, posthumously, the Peace Prize. Just when I thought I was onto something. I guess Ill just shred these PAC registration papers and pass on buying alcaponefornobelpeaceprizenowmotherfuckers.com
