Internet game awards points for people spotting real crimes on CCTV is branded 'snooper's paradise'.
Edited on Tue Oct-06-09 03:39 PM by arcadian
A new internet game is about to be launched which allows 'super snooper' players to plug into the nation's CCTV cameras and report on members of the public committing crimes.
The 'Internet Eyes' service involves players scouring thousands of CCTV cameras installed in shops, businesses and town centres across Britain looking for law-breakers.
Players who help catch the most criminals each month will win cash prizes up to £1,000.

2. Can we have some cameras installed at the Pentagon, Congress and other government offices?
I think the chance of catching criminals is much, much higher there.

4. And they fought the Battle of Britain WHY again?
I thought the goal was to keep the Nazis on the other side of the English channel, not become Nazis themselves.

5. I've saw a proposal to do that here a few years ago
It looks like its been spiced up a bit since then. The original blueprint didn't include the "video game" aspect.

6. I wonder how long until people team up to shoplift while one person watches,
knowing beforehand when and where the crimes will occur. Then they can collect the 1000 pound reward.

One enterprising person pays a few accomplices (homeless, desperate) a few dollars to spend a night in jail for shoplifting. Then our entrepreneur collects the reward money for "catching" his accomplices. Repeat until caught!
