Sorry to post in General- but how do I post pictures?!

I was at the Minneapolis rally and have a few I would like to share . . .including classic Freeper signs.

Someone help!!

1. Just post the URL of the image ... begins with "http" and (usually) ends with "jpg"

If they're yours and on your own PC ... then you need to upload them to an accessible server. Most DUers use Photobucket.

2. If they are not online, upload to Photobucket.

Then paste the direct link URL here.

If an image is already online, right click. Then select properties to copy the URL then paste that onto your message.

Just cut and paste the http: (.jpg) link.

If they're random pics, right-click on the image, click Properties, and cut and paste the URL.

9. I wrote these instructions a while back and have given them to several people..

For just posting single pics to DU I usually use tinypic.com, it's falling off a log easy and you don't even have to register.

When you log on, you'll see a window with orangey letters that say "Upload Images & Videos" and a little box with a button that says "browse" right next to it. Click on the "browse" button and you'll get a window called "file upload" that will let you find the image on your computer (I'm a PC guy so if you have a Mac some of what I say is not going to work for you)..

When you find your image you want to upload just click on it and then click on the "open" button.. The window will close then you press the green "upload now" button on the tinypic window..

Depending on how big your picture is and your connection speed you might have to wait a little while for the image to upload, when it's finished uploading you will see a small version of the pic on a window that says "share this image" in orangey text..

Copy the text in the yellowish box that is labeled "direct link for layouts" and then just paste that into your DU post and then click "preview", you should see your post with the picture if all went well. If it looks good then just click "post" and there you go...
