Tiny Houses...Light-hearted Post
I am not sure where to post a non-serious post. This is "General Discussion" not "General Discussion: Politics" so I am hoping it is OK to post here. It's a more light-hearted response to Edwards new House the Size of a Football Field. I just thought you guys might enjoy these. I love them.

My girlfriend and I really love the Tumbleweed ones. You can buy more than one and hook them together. You can get a trailer and travel with your tiny house. Or you can buy the plans and build it yourself. Click on the picture and then when in, go to "Houses":

The Edwards house is a non issue. Small houses are cute. What's your point?

3. light-hearted post
I have no point. I said right in the subject line that it is a light-hearted post and that I just thought you guys would enjoy perusing the houses. I don't begrudge Edwards his house. My post is called a "break"...a "coffee break"...maybe even "interesting alternative". I just thought people would enjoy it. Sorry if it offended you. They aren't just cute either, just btw. People actually live in them. If I should have posted it elsewhere, where would that be? What's your point? Democrats can't have a sense of humor or whimsy?

5. I love the Tumbleweed houses!
I have always dreamed of a cottage and have never wanted a huge house or even a moderate sized house. My dream is a little English or Irish cottage w/ a thatched room and a huge fireplace. However, I do want a semi-gourmet kitchen since I like to cook, but I love cozy spaces.

7. I have always been fascinated by tiny houses!
I even own the book TINY HOUSES which is apparently associated with one of your links. Your links have opened up a whole new set of neat things for me to explore on the Internet and I have bookmarked them all.

Thanks!

8. I think yurts are cool
You can get them pre-fab and in do-it-yourself kit form, made from wood or other materials. Here's one example: http://www.yurtworks.com/

You can get them as small as 290 square feet and the kits don't cost that much. And they are also modular in that you can add to them over time. There's something about a round house with a sky-light in the middle that is very cool in my opinion. And I think it also makes the small interior somehow seem larger. But they probably look best in a remote forested area, and you probably wouldn't be allowed to build one anywhere near a populated suburban area.

9. thanks -- sending this to my boss
He was all down in the dumps today, after doing a lecture on environmental science, and was grumbling about the state of the world. I thought that these were quirky enough to cheer him up.
