Rove said the Taliban allowed 9/11 to happen and so we ran them out of Afghanistan, and so they went into Iraq, and so we went after them there.

The Taliban were never anywhere near Iraq, and even if he didn't know the difference between the Taliban and Al Qaeda, Al Qaeda wasn't in Iraq either until Bush's money-driven invasion allowed them a free ticket in.*

Rove is quick on his feet with the phony facts and the propaganda (notice his voice rose like a campaign speech whenever he was short of facts and long on emotion), but he had lies and hot air--just delivered them better than many Republicans do. Howard was nice, but he really IS a nice guy. He was still on target and factual where Rove was either playing to emotion or flat-out wrong. Yelling wouldn't change that, and if the audience couldn't figure that out, then their university needs its status to be degraded to an elementary school.

on edit--of course, to Rove and the Bushies, they were all "towel-heads," anyway, and nothing more than blanket excuses for handing Halliburton and Blackstone several hundred billion of our money, so why would Rove care in the first place?.
