well all the presidents and ladies are smiling and laughing with each
other - I don't know how they do it - Hilary is next to Bush and seems fine and happy - obama talking with him and laughing

what could it be - I am always so somber at these things and here they are all smiles and laughing Jill taking with Hilary and Bush and stepford wife looking on and smiling - I just don't get it

1. I don't know, I actually like seeing this. It makes me feel rather patriotic.

3. I thought Stepford wife and insignificant other were looking down on Jill.
Maybe they thought she shouldn't speak or have an opinion.

It is interesting to watch their sneak peeks at others when they don't realize the camera is on them.

7. Jill has more brains and class in the tip of her pinkie finger than...
...that whole putrid family has put together. And, I'm talking all generations.

4. There's a post in the Orrin Hatch (search for white hat) that may
shed a little light.

As much as I didn't like what the poster said, he/she did give me a dose of political reality.

6. Some people can compartmentalize better than others
By that I mean, they can wall off certain emotions and not feel them for a time.

When my father died, I was in terrible emotional pain until a group of friends that Mr Pip and I had gone camping with twice a year showed up en masse. We sat in the back of the room in a circle like we always used to do around the nightly campfires and we talked.

And they made me laugh a few times.

I loved them for it.
:)

10. They are there for Teddy's funeral - why be petty and self-absorbed?

12. I have the same question.
Why do wakes and funerals seem more like reunions than the celebration of a life and death?

Maybe it's just part of the grieving process for some...

13. This is not a shocking, unexpected death. A Kennedy brother finally died of old age.
Worth celebrating, imo.
