5.  How about Ron Reagan?
I'd like to see him in the mornings. He could bring in people like Phil Donahue, fer god's sake, and Stephanie Miller.

At night I'd like to see Keith twice, Tweety once, David Schuster, Rachel, and maybe O'Donnell. I don't know if O'Donnell could carry a whole show every day though.

6. Agree w/Ron & I propose a weekly (Sat.?) show for O'Donnell
I just think he'd do an awesome weekly show & MSNBC needs something on the weekends.

And I'd like to see Ed a bit later...his time slot seems too early.

43. But that has nothing to do with intelligent perspectives
It has to do with manipulating that terminally stupid 20% of the country that's still mentally stuck in the 1860's.

(and for the record, that's not a geographically-centered slam. Though it's true that many such people do live below the Mason Dixon line, they're also as far north as Idaho, and even the eastern half of Washington State)

24. Its more for me, a matter of who is covering what.
If we're not stuck with existing staff?

Amy Goodman covers international affairs.

Bill Moyers on education and media accuracy.

Rachel, flanked by Thom Hartmann and Randi Rhodes to keep the DCers on their toes.

David Schuster should get his own round table every weekend with regulars like Bill Maher and Jon Stewart.

Keith would have to rule the evening roost in a anything goes catch all.

Big Eddie's absolutely for exposing corporate greed, which we all know is easy pickens, just cuz there's so much of it.

Ron Reagan to keep us to date as to the goings on for progressive causes and moderate over debates of philosophical considerations.

That's my list, loved Chris back in the day, but now I think his starry eyes belong to covering the Hollywood happenings. And I don't know about the babbling blonds at the bottom of your list, whether maybe?

Great question!

31. I would switch Rachel and Stephanie on your line up.
Sure keep Chris, Contessa and Mika to keep "fair and balanced". I like KO just like he is. However, I would hire Amy Goodman to run a hard news division, which should air at least twice a day and for small five minute updates every hour. Some of those hosts can be moved to the weekend, so that there actually can be 7 days coverage during the week. I would hire Ted Turner as a consultant to advise how to really run a 24/7 cable news network. Also, I would get my lawyers to work suing every cable and satellite provider who doesn't provide MSNBC as part of the cable basic package. My two cents.

35. The way Rachel researches and documents her issues should be in prime time.
Only Bill Moyers does as thorough a job. Also, it gives her the opportunity to keep current with what happened that day. She would be out of step if she had to wait until the following morning to comment on yesterday's news. Stephanie I think would be a bit wearing after a hard day's work when you are looking more for meat and potatoes than the morning wake up coffee that she provides.

recently the DISH network added fox to their firt tier lineup. That means they instantly got more viewers.
MSNBC should also make sure they are on as many cable and satellite packages as possible.

So why not have a new show - the Batshit Crazy Hour, with rotating guest hosts such as Michelle Bachman, Marsha Blackburn, Sara Palin. Follow it up with an hour of call-ins, commenting on the Batshit Crazies. The entertainment value would be priceless.
