Cash for Clunkers ends on Monday at 8pm

Apparently, the program has been so succesful that $2 billion of the $3 billion allocated has already been given out.

Secretary Lahood is ending the program on Monday evening, so that it doesn't exceed the $3 billion allocated.


Extremely successful so far... nearly 500,000 cars have been sold under the program already. It has jump-started the auto industry.

Exactly how a stimulus program is supposed to operate.
