If you're saying Karl Rove...

You would be correct.

"The White House acknowledged Wednesday that e-mails dealing with official government business, possibly including missives related to the firing of eight U.S. attorneys, may have been lost because they were improperly sent through private accounts intended to be used for political activities.

Administration officials said they could offer no estimate of how many e-mails were lost but indicated that some may involve messages from White House senior adviser Karl Rove, whose role in the firings has been under scrutiny by congressional Democrats."

8. What nonsense, ask your own IT person
there is no 'lost' email ever. Not in business environments. Those messages are on a server somewhere, probably saved by someone who knew what the implications were. Lost emails. Hoghwash.

12. On another website...
DailyKos - The RNC supposedly 'purges' their email system every 30 days.

What does 'purge' mean? who knows?

But, there were missing emails that nobody was able to find/recover in the Plame case as well.

If these emails were all self-contained on an RNC server (only between computers linked to the RNC server) I would think it might be a lot easier to permanently purge incriminating emails.

14. It is not impossible to purge emails but it aint easy
You have to know and have access to lots of servers to make well and truly certain that the messages are gone. Sounds more like to me feeble bullshit from Rove. You'd think he'd come up with a better lie.

erased and wrote over incriminating emails, wouldn't he be in violation of some kind of Federal Law? Won't he go to prison? I work for the Federal government and 2 or 3 times a year we get an email telling us it is against the law to delete/erase official email. I delte them almost as quick as I receive them because I don't generate any official emails and while I do occasionally receive them, they are received by everyone in our agency. If I delete them from my inbox thet are still on thousands of computers.
