Pro-Health Care Reform radio ad from Walmart?
Has anyone heard these ads?

It appears that Walmart is coming out in favor of universal health care coverage?

Is there more to the story?

2. Yes, Walmart wants to dump its employees in some kind of govt run
Edited on Sun Aug-16-09 09:55 AM by glowing
program. They don't want to pay the huge costs of insuring their employees.

Plus, they have the list of meds they do for discount... People come in to get discount drugs and find at least 2 or 3 more items that they need or buy.

5. Good info, thanks
The voice-over on the ad was so soothing and kindly-sounding. They almost had me fooled that they were interested in doing the right thing for once.

3. No matter what we end up with Wal Mart will still have its Pharmacies
and they will still be the ones selling the drugs - all health care reform is going to do is put more pressure on their competitors in this segment of health care.

6. Sprawl-Mart trie dto keep its support on the down low for years, afraid it would offend their
customer base. But they've been advocating quietly for years; they know what an enormous chunk health benefits takes off its profit.

So does GM, and Target and Costco have been pretty vocal about advocating for UHC.

7. Walmart doesn't want to pay benefits.
so of course it's going to be behind anything that will get it out of paying health coverage.

unionize your local Walmart and it will go away.
