Here's A Question For Anybody That Has Read Any Of The Health Reform Bills.......
Is there any provision in any of the bills that addresses standardizing the paperwork needed in the use of health insurance - both on the provider side and the patient side?
Is there a movement to create universal forms - that have to be used by all insurance companies?
I read where one hospital has to deal with over 700 different insurance companies and each has their own set of rules and forms. This contributes to a lot of cost in the management and a lot of frustration on the part of both patients and providers.
If we can't have a universal single payer system - could we at least have universal forms to simplify the paperwork that needs to be completed when using one's health care insurance.
