I think once these tools began questioning whether or not Hawaii is even a state, it passed from the already lunatic fringe straight into the Coast to Coast with George Norey midnight callers ranting about aliens eating their babies category.

Now that the crazy as a shit house rat group of nuts are now screaming and yelling at the town halls about death panels, it seems the whole birther thing just doesn't have quite that much zing anymore.

On a scale of insanity the death panel frothers seem less insane. That is not really saying much. It's like comparing getting shot in the head to getting shot in the face.

There will be more birthers still popping up from time to time. There will always be the ones that will get pride in carrying the torch of crazy, in hopes of being that one crazy ass dumb shit that thinks they were right all along. They will scream from the highest tower with an automatic rifle in their hands, picking off innocent people, yelling "I was right!!!!".

So what will transplant the bizarre level of misplaced anger now that the living will provision has been removed from the health care discussion?

If an issue (death panels, birf certificates) gains some traction, they pull all the stops and run it as far is it goes. This is what I remember from last time I looked...

The "Kenyan Birth Certificate" was released on the Internets. Orly grabs it as PROOF the president was born in Kenya, and starts screaming not only for his long-form BC but now also for his medical records from the hospital--or for his immediate resignation. The hospital he was born in doesn't exist anymore and it's very possible an over 40 year old record from a defunct hospital is 90 feet down in a landfill somewhere, or (considering it's Hawaii) dumped out in the ocean like some places (no, I don't know if Hawaii ever did this) used to do with trash.

The left analyzes the BC and determines it's a very clever forgery. Orly gets on her blog and asks if "EF Lavender" was registrar of births in Kenya in the early 1960s. No, Orly, I don't think a bottle of laundry detergent was ever registrar of births, in Kenya or anywhere else.

Then the person who actually built the fake "Kenyan Birth Certificate" came forward and admitted it's fake. Orly immediately gets on her blog and calls him a liar, saying the "Kenyan Birth Certificate" has more "detail" than the one the campaign actually released. True dat, Orly, but it's all LIES.

The majority of the birther movement realizes they've been fucked, and not in a nice way, and went on to saying the president's going to whack Gramma.
