What kind of degree do you need to be a death counselor?

1. You can be an RN in three years
if you work your ass off doing it. You will then have the pleasure of asking every single adult who comes into the hospital if they are ready to do a living will.

22. You still have to learn the apothecary system, too
and how to convert all 3 systems back and forth.

Hell, I didn't say it would be easy, but if you want to be on a death panel, you gotta do what you gotta do.

Google it. It's funny.

8. We used to play the same game, but it was nine year olds.
My strategy would always be to pick one up by the feet and use him to bludgeon the rest.

19. I can beat up 30 5 year olds and name 58 countries in 5 min.
My spelling is rather poor and I had to think of nations I could spell correctly.

16. It actually might be construed as an advertisement for palliative care
Unless you can tax the pot at a higher rate than the amount of money it takes to keep people baked for months on end, it's probably not such a good plan.

14. Probably a minor in Communications, PR, or pop-psychology.
I'm sure a couple undergrad courses will be sufficient.
I doubt if you have to even go as far as to complete an AA or AS. Especially if they privatize the training; it'll end up more an online certification program where your face to face interview will count more than the actual certification.
I can see it now, the update to the slip between the pages of Reader's Digest or People magazine, or circular in the weekly mailout...

"...Send in this coupon now to receive our free brochure that can jump-start your life - get trained for great jobs in these careers - real estate, online/media sales, AC/Heating/HVAC repair, computer repair, auto mechanics, cosmetology, veterinary assistant/pet grooming, medical transcription, insurance sales, tax preparation, child care, end of life counselor...we can also start you on a BA in Management or Business Administration!"

21. Business accounting
Edited on Wed Aug-12-09 04:58 PM by pscot
There are vast numbers of small businesses and community organizations that need accounting services. Many of the people who provide these services are not especially gifted, mathematically, but they still get to charge 80 bucks an hour for their time. A couple of quarters at a community college should get you started. And if you can master Quicken, which no-one ever has, the sky's the limit. Quick books is used by lots of small outfits who can't afford a real accounting program. Unfortunately it was designed in a Croatian mental institution and has a few quirks.
